Covid 19 opening update: 22 June 2020
We are now open for face-to-face physiotherapy sessions. Health screening and risk assessments must be undertaken before your session.
We are still offering virtual sessions to those who prefer not to visit the practice eg people who are shielding or have symptoms of Covid 19. Virtual sessions have been very successful from an outcome point of view.
We have adapted to the new environment during these uncertain times, and our priority remains the health and safety of our clients and staff. Tom Stukins will be your musculoskeletal physiotherapist on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Fiona Buchanan will be your women's health physiotherapist - please contact us to arrange a bespoke appointment time with Fiona.
Please be patient with us whilst we try to balance the wishes and needs of our patients with the pressures of adhering to government and governing body advice on reopening face-to-face physiotherapy. We have staff furloughed until July after which we can start to open up the clinic to more patients.
Patients with health insurance:
We are unable to resume services for those covered by certain insurers at this time. Unfortunately, our reduced capacity and increased costs (because of additional time required between patients and additional PPE equipment) is not covered by their remuneration. Please contact us for details.
All face-to-face patients must:
- Sign a declaration that you and your household have no Covid symptoms and you have followed government isolation guidelines prior to your appointment. Complete the Patient Covid 19 Health Declaration Form here.
- Complete and sign registration and consent to treatment forms prior to your appointment.
- Bring a face mask and gloves to your appointment.
Body Logic Physiotherapy reserves the right to refuse admittance to the clinic if a patient has not adhered to the above requirements.
What to expect on arrival:
- Please do not arrive early.
- Please wait outside for your physiotherapist to greet you.
- We intend to start taking patient (and staff) temperatures on arrival and everyone will need to record a temperature equal to or below 37.5 centigrade.
- We have spaced appointments to allow for cleaning and so you can go straight to the treatment room with your physiotherapist on entering the clinic.
- Your physiotherapist will wear appropriate PPE.
- Your physiotherapist will remain the recommended distance from you except when carrying out necessary physical tests.
- Your physiotherapy session will continue as normal.
- Payment, where possible, should be made via APPLE PAY on your phone. If you have to use the card machine key pad it is cleaned with alcohol wipes after each use.
- If possible and to minimise all possible chances of contamination, please use the toilet before coming to the clinic and bring your own water.

Physiotherapy treatments help people recover movement and function to their full potential. Physio can help repair damage to muscles and joints by speeding up the healing process and reducing pain and stiffness.
At Body Logic, your physiotherapist will take the time to listen to your story, examine your problem and provide a logical clinical explanation so that you understand what is happening to your body.
We then use a variety of appropriate 'hands on' physiotherapy techniques, such as soft tissue and joint mobilisation/manipulation, muscle energy techniques, electrotherapy and acupuncture. We will advise you on posture, ergonomics, lifestyle and specific or general exercise so that you can take care of yourself. It doesn't matter if you're young or old, have suffered a sports injury or road traffic accident, have a long standing back problem or have just had surgery, we have years of experience in treating them all and much more...
At Body Logic Physiotherapy we work with you to aid your recovery from injuries, operations, aches and pains. We will assess you and understand what is causing your aches and pains. We can then provide appropriate physiotherapy to target your specific problems.

NHS spinal physiotherapy
Body Logic Physio provided physiotherapy services for NHS patients for approximately ten years through the NHS's Any Qualified Provider scheme. We were one of only two local clinics to be selected to provide NHS physiotherapy after a lengthy vetting process. Unfortunately, this scheme ended in June 2020 and GPs must now send all NHS referrals to the main hospital outpatients departments. However, if you are experiencing long waiting times for NHS treatment, or you simply wish to return to Body Logic for your physiotherapy then please get in touch.
